Hakka TV Executive Team

Launched on July 1, 2003, Hakka TV is the world’s only channel fully dedicated to Hakka language and culture. Broadcasting 24/7 in various Hakka dialects, it reaches audiences nationwide via free-to-air, cable, and digital platforms including YouTube and podcasts. Programming spans news, documentaries, dramas and educational shows, with Chinese subtitles to bridge language gaps and promote cultural understanding.
Hakka TV plays a vital role in cultural preservation, offering resources like the "Hakka TV School" and adapting local literature into drama. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it provided real-time Hakka interpretation of government updates, enhancing public access to vital information.
Recognized globally, Hakka TV has earned 88 awards and 171 nominations between 2022–2024, including honours at the New York Festivals, Banff World Media Festival, and Asian Academy Creative Awards. The network also actively engages in international exchange to strengthen language revitalisation.
