Pisuy Masaw

Manager of the Radio Department

Pisuy Masaw graduated from the Department of Radio and Television at the National Taiwan University of Arts. She specializes in journalism and the in-depth reporting of Indigenous public issues, with a focus on diverse narratives. She has long been involved in news production and program hosting at Taiwan Indigenous Television (TITV), and is recognized as one of the few Indigenous media professionals who combine journalistic sensitivity with analytical depth.
She previously served as Chief Coordinator of TITV's Central Taiwan News Center, reporting directly from tribal communities and amplifying local voices. Under her leadership, the team strengthened the presence of regional perspectives in national media. She went on to produce Indigenous Perspectives, a documentary-style program that explored Indigenous culture, environment, and social issues, earning widespread recognition from both audiences and the industry.
As both host and producer of Tribal Voices, a political talk show, she focused on Indigenous policy, social issues, and youth perspectives. The show became a powerful platform for public discourse. Her candid and grounded hosting style, paired with her strong grasp of issues, earned her nominations at the 2022 Asian Television Awards for both Best Current Affairs Program and Best Host, giving a global stage to Indigenous voices.
Her journalistic work has been honored with multiple professional accolades, including nominations for the Global Chinese Language Journalism Award and the Excellence in Journalism Award, highlighting her focus not only on issue depth but also on values of sustainability and social responsibility.
Throughout her media career, she has consistently centered Indigenous perspectives. Through images and language, she constructs contemporary Indigenous narratives and encourages public engagement, ensuring that every story begins as a record of voices rooted in the land.
