Mariela Idivuoma

Mariela Idivuoma is the News Editor at NRK Sápmi, the Sámi division of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, where she leads editorial efforts to amplify Sámi voices and Indigenous perspectives in news media.
She is born and raised on the Swedish side of Sápmi and sámi is her mother tongue. Mariela has extensive experience in journalism and has worked across both Swedish and Norwegian broadcasting in many different roles, including as a host for the Sámi news program Ođđasat.
With deep roots in Sámi culture, she is passionate about promoting linguistic and cultural diversity in the media. Her work focuses on ensuring accurate, inclusive, and impactful reporting that reflects the realities of Sámi communities.
