Jan Roger Ostby

Jan Roger Østby is Program Editor for all children's content, youth programming, national series, and events at NRK Sápmi, including significant occasions such as the Sámi National Day.

I hold a degree in journalism and spent 10 years working at the Sámi Parliament in Norway, an essential institution representing the Sámi people. As a native Sámi speaker, I have devoted several years to my career as a journalist and editor, committed to bringing Sámi stories and voices to the forefront. I am proud to be a part of the World Indigenous Broadcasters Network, where we share and celebrate the richness of indigenous cultures across the globe.
