Paul Shiang

Paul has been with Hakka TV since 2004 after receiving his Master degree in Media and Cultural Analysis from Loughborough Uni. in England. Starting in 2015, he has been focusing on news literacy for adolescents and involved in producing and hosting youth's program called “Octopus News”. The show covers various current events that interest young viewers, helping them better understand and engage with social issues.

Paul was appointed CEO of Hakka TV in 2022 and he proposed a vision of connecting Hakka and the world with Hakka TV. Under his leadership and the efforts made by his team, the company has just delivered its best performance last year since its founding. Taken some of the shortlisted and awarded ones as an example, these are the honours that Hakka TV has won among international competitors in 2024:

向盛言
客家電視台台長
向盛言2004年自英國羅浮堡大學取得「媒體與文化分析」碩士後便加入客家電視台。2015年起，他開始關注兒少的新聞識讀能力，參與製作並主持《小O事件簿》這個針對年輕受眾的節目。該節目從兒少感興趣的主題出發，並結合時事和社會議題，讓他們更加理解生活周遭所發生的大小事情。

2022年獲聘為客家電視台台長後，向盛言提出要「以客家電視鏈結客家與世界」的願景。在他的領導之下，加上同仁不懈地努力，客台交出開台以來最亮眼的成績單。以下列舉客家電視台2024年在國際影視競賽中榮獲的獎項：

 美國- 紐約電視獎： 4項入圍 (3項獲獎)
